This is the carbon tax fantasy of the govenment control freaks.
Not surprising from the speech control author of McCain/Feingold.
McCain is bending over frontwards for the limosine liberal money.
I wrote a whole book on the subject, I think I will try and revive it.
Not a Fantasy at all . Check out this gem from Lugar.
I am pleased to announce that the Lugar Stock Farm has enrolled as an offset provider in the Chicago Climate Exchange. The Lugar Stock Farm is an active corn, soybean, and hardwood tree farm in Marion County, Indiana. Our farm will be the first in Indiana to enroll in this important exchange. I am hopeful that farmers in Indiana and elsewhere will investigate the possibility of enrolling in the exchange. This not only will encourage the practice of sequestering carbon, it will provide an additional source of farm income to those who qualify, said Lugar.
This was from May 18 2006. On his own web site. http://lugar.senate.gov/energy/press/speech/climate.html
Nothing like passing laws then becomming the prototype farm to profit from it.....conflict of interest, nah never. /s
I hope McCain is pwn3d in the primaries.
Two check marks in the don't column this week: Sponsoring the Amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy and now this.
Oh, right, sure he is, suuurrrrrre...
Did I need a sarcasm tag? lol
(and actually, they did - it was Reagan Democrats and independents who left town)
How else can they better undermine conservatism? They do all they can to push the leftist candidates who happen to wear a GOP label, then whine that conservatives are the ones who are losing the GOP.
I won't vote for McCain under any circumstances.
Not at all...:-)
I'd gladly support DH. He'll need to catch fire, somehow.

Well, we know McInsane is gonna blow up. And it doesn't sound like Gingrich is gonna run. Brownback and Gilmore are too weak. So, at some point you are left with Romney (whose Mormonism I think will sink his chances), Giulani, and the only one on the right left standing will likely be Hunter. The only other possibility is Barbour.
There will have to be a bunch of debates, just like the Dems had last time. Pretty hard to deny anyone the podium in a broken field. So, hunter is a darkhorse but I don't think he can be counted out. This will be a track for mudders.

No one ever mentions how much CO2 is produced (and then released into the atmosphere) for soft drink production. I expect the Enviro Wackos to go after Coke and Pepsi any day now. /s
