Indeed. I see the Jews as the older brothers to Catholics such as myself. I feel honor-bound to love and defend them although we differ on many aspects of belief.

We do differ on aspects of belief, but the beliefs we hold in common are basic and of great importance.
The Ten Commandments - the basic precepts of morality and what it means to live a moral life. The kindness and caring for others, trying to "heal the world" - we share all this.
I think both Moses and Christ would agree on this and I think both would be happy to know that we share these common goals.
And just as important...that after centuries of struggle with one another, that hopefully we have finally come to a brotherly/sisterly understanding that each sibling has something to offer the other and that neither is a threat to the other.
