In a guerrilla war..with no uniformed enemy..where the populace is infiltrated with opposing forces, I find this verdict appalling. Maybe they should have just knocked on the doors and asked if there were any "bad guys" around. Of course they would have been met with the truth..there are NO women, children or elderly people fighting this war.
some out of fear..some for other reasons.
I'm quite sure anyone in the opposition would have immediately thrown up their hands in surrender, and most likely offer to make a great meal for our guys.

Insurgents controlled the population. They beheaded people they didn't like in the square on Saturdays mornings. DVDs of the beheading were on sale by the afternoon. It was reported that the kids especially enjoyed the DVDs and preferred them to cartoons.

You know- perhaps Americans should start sending recruiting offices a clear message that we do NOT appreciate what they are doing and will think long and hard about whether we want to serve in a force that does not defend their own and who does NOTHING to prevent being convicted in public opinion even before a trial. There is plenty reason for the current military leadership to have zero faith in the steadiness and/or faithfulness of this nations population.
