Right on. Thanks to all conservative voters who wanted to teach the Republican Congress leaders a lesson & either did not vote, voted for a third party candidate loser or God forbid voted for a "Blue Dog" Dem. Now millions of Americans may pay with their lives.

The leader of an al-Qaeda-backed group has offered US forces safe withdrawal from Iraq within a month if they left their heavy weapons behind

Uh huh. That would be convenient ... for al-Qaeda.

Amazing.

One doesn't know whether to laugh out loud or just chalk it up as just another delusional Islamofascist rant based on watching CNN International 'reports' of U.S. 'losses' in Iraq and seeing distinguished-looking U.S. Senators visiting pipsqueak dictators like Assad looking for 'exit strategies'from Iraq...as if they had any authority to form U.S. war policy.

This assumption by Al-Qaeda in Iraq that the U.S. is ready and eager to leave Iraq could be used in our favor if it gives the murderous Muslim fanatics there a false sense of security. More troops and looser rules of engagement would change the direction of this war if only Bush would do it. With his presidency drawing to a close and his approval numbers sinking once again, I think President Bush may just decide to finish the mission once and for all and to hell with what the New York Times thinks.

Well, one hopes, anyway.

And whats funny is we will take their offer. Maybe not directly but we will withdraw. And when we withdraw they will have won.
Our countries decline is so evident. We are well on our way to being yesterdays news. Im really wondering if our slide toward insignificance can be stopped.

But... but ... but... what happened to the invitation? / sarc

Now they're issuing orders? NUTS!

(Oh, and I don't think that after all this time, after all the dead terrorists, they don't understand that a solder's goal is safety. A soldier's goal is the successful completion of the mission.)

Leaving our heavy weapons behind - yeah, RIGHT.

Are they running low on Russian, Iranian and Syrian arms? Gosh, that would be ever so sad.

Odd that this happens at the EXACT TIME that Sentaor Bill Nelson (D) of Florida (major electoral state in 2008) is doing his self serving diplomacy in Syria.

John Kerry is visiting Iraq to see the sights.

Where is Madaline Albright these days?

Remember Jimmy Carter and his "blame the Joooooze" book?

All (D) are working overtime to undermine the authority of the President. How many career bureacrats in DC are cheering them on right along with Al Queda? I bet all the unelected in the state department.

'Sunni & Shia' Rock Group Formed
Dec. 21, 2006

Two Iraqi youngsters from rival Sunni and Shia sects of Islam announced they were launching a musical career.

Samir Bahja, is 19, a Sunni and the male member of the pair, said they were inspired by “Sonny & Cher”—a husband and wife rock and roll act popular in the 1960s. “There is so much violence in our country, we are hoping to bring people together with music,” Bahja said. “Shadiya has a beautiful voice and I’m working on writing the songs. It’s just like how the original Sonny & Cher started.”

Shadiya Labib, is 17, a Shia and the female member of the singing duo, agreed. “Samir is not such a good singer, but he is very clever and funny,” Labib said. “The songs he has written are quite humorous.”

Bahja says he’s written three songs thus far. “The first song I wrote was ‘I Gut You Badr,’” he said. “It is an ironic song of revenge gone awry. The second song I wrote was ‘The Bleat Goes On,’ It’s about the lonely nights of a shepherd. The last song I’ve completed so far is ‘Baba Don't Go.’ In this one a girl pleads with her boyfriend to give up his plan for a suicide bombing.”

Naturally, the duo plans to perform as “Sunni & Shia.”

Mullah Muqtada al-Sadr, a leader of a Shia faction has already pronounced a fatwa on the two. “Music is the devil’s work,” Sadr said. “We will slice the heads from the bodies of these blasphemers.”

Al-Qaeda is also displeased with this development. “These miscreants mock the holiness of our struggle against the unbelievers and the Shia apostates,” said Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, al-Qaeda’s leader in Iraq. “We will cut their throats, spill their blood, and burn the ground underneath them.”

In related news, Sadr said he is considering a one-month unilateral cease-fire. “We are out of bullets,” Sadr observed. “It will take at least 30 days to resupply our fighters. We’d rather not have to do this under fire.” Sadr confirmed that his Mahdi army will continue to use traditional weapons to kill the unarmed in the interim.

The Dems will argue that these guys in Iraq aren't the "real" Al Qaeda. That the "real" Al Qaeda are solely in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

What we really need is Michael Corleone as President right now.. he could be the Godfather for Cheney's granddaughter's baptism.. and then at the same time, he knocks off Iran's President, Hezbollah leader in Lebanon, Hamas leader in Gaza, Saddam(in Prison), Bin Laden(in a cave) and Chirac in France, Hugo Chavez during a rally, Hans Blix and Kofi at the UN raquet club.. and then go visit SAL(John Kerry) and decide if we want to let him off the hook.
