CG -- I perfectly agree with you. But this being established, now, also commits Nifong to being possibly sued in civil courts over his assertions of "guilty as charged by CGM" before the public.
Please explain what you mean, more fully about "Alia, I think this was intended to do just the opposite". I like to hear what you are thinking.

Well, others on the thread, certainly more familiar with the criminal side of the law and NC statutes, etc. have said he will still have a rough time with the case, but in our case we heard exactly the same thing. "The defense is really going to rip her apart on the stand" (we never had the opportunity, of course), heck we never even got to cross the arresting officer.
I guess they can't drag it out any longer than May, anyway, but now all Nifong has to do is get her on the stand to testify -- no forensics necessary -- in front of a biased jury -- at least that's what I thought. I really thought he knew he had a loser and was trying to get a plea bargain out of the three before he had to go in and try this mess. I just didn't want them to stop or give up if that's the pressure put on them. You know the old disclaimer, "It can go either way in a he said/she said case."
Suddenly, the kids are thinking, "What if I can't convince a jury. What if I am convicted." It's just my stupid memories, that's all.
