The political process itself is just shameful.
To: Republic_of_Secession.
If I had to choose among those candidates I would simply not vote at all.
You want to sit it out? Fine.
I will bet you $100 that national voter turn out will be HIGHER in 2008 (assuming Rudy v. Hillary) than it was in 2000 or 2004.

You're probably right. Social conservative evangelicals, thrilled by Barack Obama's fatuously vague praise "our god is an awesome god," will likely turn out to repeat what they did in 1976 and give us another Christian poseur for president.
They sure won't vote for Giuliani.

Polling now is just blowing in the wind. I guess Rasmussen has to do
something to keep a cash flow going.
What a waste.
Oh, and would the true conservative please raise your hand?

That would be former VA Gov. Jim Gilmore.
As reassuring as it is to see that Giuliani could take down Clinton, all of these numbers are pretty meaningless. I'll start to pay attention to the polls after the R and D fields have stabilized in a few months and after the candidates have had about 6 months of media exposure.

Actually it is three LIES.
1 Rasmussen is the MSM.
2 The MSM is pushing Guiliani.
3 FReepers are incapable of understanding politics.
In fact, the MSM understands that Guiliani is the RATS biggest fear and it hates him because he isn't afraid of it and kicks their asses at will.
If LIES is all you can come up with get ready to say "President Guiliani".

May their chains rest lightly upon them and may posterity forget that they were our countrymen.

When undecided is tied for second place all the poll really says is that the field is wide open.

Another day another poll with Rudy in the lead......
But it's early so don't worry...a social conservative like George Allen or Rick Santuram will be riding in to save the day.....
tick ....tick....
To: areafiftyone
Neither Democrat comes close to Giuliani on the favorability scale. The man sometimes known as Americas Mayor is viewed favorably by seven out of ten Americans (71%).Of course he is, he's an apolitical hero-figure. The media hasn't laid a finger on him in over 5 years. Does anybody really believe that's going to last?
Interestingly, if you track Rudy's favorability numbers, his lowest point came in October... when he was getting the most face-time, campaigning for Republicans (who all lost).
