Give it up.

Enjoy your fetish breed. Keep it, and your delusions away from me.

KJC1,

They are bred to DOMINATE. They will 'go off' on whatever life form they can DOMINATE. Far too often, that means children.

You see, your 'bred to fight dogs, not humans' argument fails on the facts every time a child is attacked and mauled or killed by a pit bull dog.

While I agree that the breed has suffered in the last 30-40 years from inbreeding and breeding to increase viciousness and size by people that don't want them as housepets I cannot accept that some of them are OK and others aren't ... the whole breed is corrupted now... if you want a good pit bull you need to go back to "Petey" the pit in the "Little Rascals" films ... you are correct that pits were bred to fight other dogs ,,, THAT IS THE PROBLEM ,, when we make a dog a pet it becomes "one of our human pack" ,, they can't distinguish between the original target , another dog , and it's human family as it associates dogs=people ... GIVE IT UP ,, if you want to save the breed start a new breeding program getting back to the roots without the extremes..
