" Wouldn't be fun today, though. Eeesh ... just had a nasty flashback to the day I got stuck on Rampart Range Road on a bright, sunny December day ... but the wind started blowing hard, and the road got blocked by a couple feet of snow in 30 minutes. We were lucky to get out of there."

LOL! I'm glad that you made it out okay. We tried that on Mosquito Pass once and got up to the London Mine (chains). ...blew a limited slip rear end and replaced it with a locker after that. I'll never forget the words of my great, big, red-headed, Canadian brother-in-law. "I'm not pushing! I'm not pushing again!" We got it on tape! LOL!

I rode a motorcycle up to the summit of Mosquito Pass once. Boy was it huffing and puffing by then. I also bladed most of the Park Service roads over the Continental Divide in that area with my trusty old road grader. I cleared the rockslides from that old railroad grade that they restored up on Boreas Pass too.
