Being a lawyer for the "oppressed" and a US senator also means that he has never had a real job in the public sector either. (smile)

Not so. Barak Obama has been a Senior Lecturer in Law at the (private) University of Chicago School of Law since 1993. As such, and as a former President of the Harvard Law Review, he would be expected to publish legal writings (that is what all the other faculty at Chicago do). He has had no peer reviewed publications., but rather published some an autobiography and a book with his musings. Publications, Presentations and Works in Progress.
