I wouldnt pay 3.5 million dollars for the property fronting on MLK street if it ran from one end to the other.
The only part that is even half way safe is St. Elizabeths Hospital.
Wait unitl the NAACP workers going to work are robbed ,beaten, solicited by drug dealers, raped, their cars stolen. gawd awmighty they know not what they do.
Land in Anacostia should be condemned from the bridge to South Capitol street.
If they think being NAACP will give them protection they are having a pipe dream.
All those buildings they see with bars on the windows down there . Those bars arent to keep white people out LOL.

``There is no more appropriate place for the NAACP headquarters than Washington, D.C.,'' Williams said in a news release.Does that mean that Washington, DC will be renamed Washington, NAACP???????

Mayor Anthony A. Williams and the group are focusing on a site as part of the Anacostia Gateway ProjectNot to worry. The NAACP will never occupy a new building in that neighborhood. The copper, aluminum, and steel will disappear faster than they can fasten it down.

Oh joy. I suppose this will go down as one of the mayor's major accomplishments.
