I suggest you spend more time volunteering at an abortion clinic and get upiut and meet some real victims of selfish acts (like paralyzed, brain dmaged and comatose victims of drunk drivers) and get some perspective on tragedy and meet some brave non whining people who live with wants and needs that will never be fulfilled.
