I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.
In Your Name,
Amen!
Love and prayers to you and your family, Poppy. It’s wonderful that your dear Mom is with all of you until she passes.
Late night prayers for your Mama....
We are given a matchless gift in Christ Our Lord, that death has no power over us, that we have great hope in the midst of sorrow, and that our last minute goodbye really means: Until we meet again. Truly, truly, we can give thanks for this, Lord Jesus Christ, even as our hearts are breaking. Thank You, Lord of Life, Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Mighty Conquerer of Death, amen.
Prayers for kayak, and her family, continue.
