Let me fill you in on something: most mountain rescue teams are volunteers who are very experienced outdoorspeople and *mountaineers*. They join rescue teams willingly (in fact often competetively) because they'd want the help if they ever needed it themselves, and because they understand the nature of the sport, including the risks.
Your "anger" is completely groundless, and in fact a little silly.
The point is that an experienced mountaineer would not attempt such a climb in the weather that we have been having in the Northwest. I still have piles of snow left over from Thanksgiving weekend, and I live 200 ft above sea level, near the coast. Monday, we had such strong winds and rain that there were power outages all over the place and a tractor trailer jack knifed and over turned on the freeway. Today the wind and rain are back. I mean we have not had a break in the weather for a month and a half.
I'm terribly sorry that my silly anger has distressed you. Thank you for enlightening me. Here I thought that the rescue teams were transgendered ballet dancers instead of very experienced outdoorspeople! And they join rescue teams willingly! I thought they were captured and forced against their will.
I stand humbly corrected.
