" California has become a Third World sewer." Ah yes, that old chestnut!
Walked down the Santa Monica Promenade lately?

Within the last year or so, yes. I 'd hardly call it a cesspool. Have you walked through Guadalupe, near Phoenix lately? How about the lower West Side of Chicago? East St. Louis? Washington, DC? Detroit? Little Havana? Are all those states "Third World sewers" because they have some blighted spots?
Have you walked through Avalon, South Orange County, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, La Jolla, Santa Barbara, Woodland Hills, Palo Alto, Palm Springs, Palos Verdes, Foster City, Lake Tahoe, and on and on?
Don't you find it a little ironic that the same thread that lists a million dollar price tag for a small home calls the same state a "Third World sewer"?
