I received this from a friend in church: "I just received a call from Phyl at church with an urgent prayer request. Heather Jane's family was in a car accident this evening (Fri) on the beltline. Heather Jane is one of our infant childcare workers.
The most critical request is for their 4 year old son, Ian, who was Med flighted to UW hospital with an open skull fracture and is currently in an induced coma with an inserted probe to monitor his brain. It sounds like he is in very critical condition right now. Tom (Ian's dad) has a neck injury that they are still waiting for the results from the CT scan. Their daugher, Regan, was also in the car, but not seriously hurt. She is however, very traumatized by the event because there was a great deal of blood. Please be in prayer for this family and especially for Ian tonight. I will keep you updated when I know more. Ian had surgery last night. His skull is fractured in 3 places, he has a tear in the lining of his brain and his eyes and nose were fractured. He made it through surgery and was able to hear and respond after surgery. I wish I had more details for you and could tell you what this all means. He is still in critical condition and there is a lot to be concerned about, but it is good that he made it through the surgery. I trust that God will lead you in how to pray for Ian and his family. His dad, Tom, is expected to be released today.
Please keep them in your prayers! Hope to have more details tomorrow."
