What the voters want is members of a political party, any of the two major parties, to fix the broken health care systemIn what way do you, or Mr. Cain, think the health care system is "broken"?
And in what way would it be different if it were "fixed"?
And who, in your imagination, has the credentials and the wisdom to do the fixing?

Agreed. But we have many broken things to fix. Health care, social security, medicare, income tax, ... and on and on. Most of these are broken because the investment doesn't equal the benefit received.
For health care the costs are too high and not every one is covered. Also the cost for doctors are high for malpractice insurance ... but it seems that any short coming is now malpractice. The malpractice suits can only be addressed by tort reform .. which I can not see occurring.
Personally I think we need to go back to a personal form of health care, business involvement is not a benefit but a cost driver. Being part of a group plan from an employer doesn't seem to be helping prices. If the individuals were the group, w/o businesses, I think it might be different. I don't have the answers only my opinions ... and you know what they say about those.
I don't know who has the credential or wisdom to fix it. I think it will only get done when the people have put there congress-critters backs to the wall and pressed sufficiently hard enough to rob them of breath for a short period of time that they will finally get the hint and respond.
Until then it is not in their best interest to do anything. They personally have no worries ... at least not the three I mentioned above.
