Senators do not often win nominations and win Presidential elections even less.
A governor, especially one who can pass himself off as a moderate has a very good chance of winning.
I think that if he can get the nomination, he has an excellent chance of winning. Especially against McCain. Then again maybe some of the sleaziness that infects NM politics will stick to him.
A candidate should make a real issue out of the complete and total lack of security at the DOE when he was there--that's his biggest Achilles heel in this day and age.
" A governor, especially one who can pass himself off as a moderate has a very good chance of winning."
Oh. no!! That's what people say about our gov.--Butch Napolitano.
"Richardson is far more dangerous than Hillary or Osama Obama."
That is a stone cold fact!
He is definitely more qualified than Hillary or Obama. His problem is he is from a small state and can't bring in any electoral votes from home.
Yes.
I agree. I think he could stand an excellent chance of winning. And I think he could pull votes from Republicans given who I see as Republican hopefuls this time around.
I agree with you. See my forecast (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1546668/posts?page=150#150) from last year. Bill will win nomination & I think he'll be our next president. It could be worse.
