As long as Mc Vain does not get the GOP nomination Richardson will deliver not only NM but also AZ and Colorado for the Dems.

Blew your wad to early champ. Your supposed to hem haw around, tease the media and talk show hosts for a few months, then open ann exploratory committiee to explore if you should run. Following THAT you report the findings inconclusive. Wait until mid 07, then unleash.

But thanks for playing..

Guiliani is the one with the most charisma. Lumpy Bill is at the bottom of the charisma scale. But he can actually run as a Tax Cutter.

This is one Arizonan whose vote he won't get and we have voter ID laws here to stop illegals from voting.

June 23, 2000, at 3:00 AM ET The Department of Energy, the Bermuda Triangle of Cabinet agencies, is claiming another victim this week. The Case of the Missing Hard Disks has doomed Secretary Bill Richardson's aspiration to be Al Gore's running mate.

Republican senators are demanding Richardson's resignation. George W. Bush is turning the nuclear bumbling into a campaign issue.

The Senate Armed Services Committee summoned Richardson for a spanking on Wednesday. Democratic senators ripped him. Republicans suggested that an independent agency, not DOE, should supervise nuclear weapons and security. Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.V., vowed that the Senate would never support Richardson again. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., growled, "You have lost what credibility you had left on Capitol Hill." During his days as an international troubleshooter, Richardson liked being called "007," but not even James Bond could escape from the torture chamber Richardson is in now.

Richardson's response to the Los Alamos fiasco has been energetic shirking. He brags shrilly about other nuclear-security improvements: "In two years I have done more on security than has been done in the past 20 years." He whines that he doesn't deserve blame, and he passes the buck onto careless Los Alamos scientists and their anti-security culture.

HOW IN HELL CAN HE STOP THE ISLAMOFASCISTS IF HE CAN'T RUN A GOV'T DEPT?

Giuliani is the best Republican counter to most of the candidates proposed. He's not perfect - however, it is necessary that the Democrats are denied the White House.

Regards, Ivan

Bayh-Ricardson will put IN, OH, NM, AZ and CO in the Dem column making it very difficult for the GOP to win in 2008.

I hate to say this but the only way to inoculate America against this would be to nominate Mc Vain.

Bayh is too dumb to win the nomination.

Gosh, the Dems are going to have a plethora of leftists running for President. Maybe they should try the circular firing squad method of selection and run the survivor?
My guess is Richardson is doing this more to be Hillary's VP selection than anything else.

Bill Richardson is closely tied with the Clinton gang. His selling point is his ability to bring in the Hispanic vote, which is not as overwhelmingly pro-Democrat as the black vote. Also, he should be able to carry his home state of New Mexico, a small prize to be sure (4 electoral votes), but lost by Kerry in 2004. As a Hispanic, he can help the ticket in the neighboring states of Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada, all of which are "light red", and perhaps Florida as well.
