Considering there are fewer and fewer Native Hawaiians in Hawaii (due to intermarraige), this particular mode of discrimination will fade into history in another 50-100 years.

Very few now have pure Hawaiian blood. The school only requires that you some Hawaiian ancestry. Very prestigious school, and yes, as a private trust they should be able to do what they want.
