Have you read the thread or the articles? She was here legally. She entered on a tourist visa. (She then got a student visa, which was still valid when she got married.) Illegal immigrants enter the country illegally -- without any kind of visa.

I read it, still confused.

So this Notico sent in paperwork for asylum, except she didn't want asylum and when her husband tried to adjust her status she was in trouble for missing court dates on her asylum petition? Is that it? What were the grounds they were using to deport her on?
