To paraphrase the encounter:
The man asked, "My name's 'Carter' and your name is 'Carter.' How come we're not related." To which the President responded, "Lot's of Georgia families have a ni**** in the woodpile.".."
I remember, and I may be mistaken, after losing his first race of Georgia Governor Carter bitterly complained of his opponents campaign tactics that it was, N-word this and Nword that. It was a long time ago. This was before all the technology that makes this impossible to get away with today..no camera phones etc.
