At least his brother did something productive (brewed beer. ....bad as it was).

We remember it every time we buy diesel fuel. The US used to get most of our diesel from Iran, pre-Carter. Remember when diesel was cheaper than even regular gas? Now it is more than premium.

My husband filled his 3/4 ton diesel GMC this week and it was $70.00.
