Where do the Christians in Lebanon figure in all of this?

Unfortunately the Christians are divided. One side is pro-US and with the freely elected government of Lebanon and the other side led by General Aoun a person obsessed with becoming President is allying himself with Syria, Iran, and Hizballah hoping that they will make him President if they succeed in controlling the country.

Uh, Lebanon was setup by the French as a repository for Christians in the ME. The muzzies have been pushing them out for at least the last 50 years.

With two muslim groups fighting I'm sure they would be in the middle...fair game for both groups

They are split, the article states that most support the anti-Syrian side, along with the Sunnies (and presumably the Druze, who aren't mentioned). Other support the pro-Syrian, and Shiite, Hzb'Allah.
