I am hearing reports from some people in Lebanon that the Lebanese government may ask the new UN "beefed up" forces in Lebanon to interfere to protect the government from Hizballah coup d'etat.

Oh dear!
Loads of nappies needed for the Foreign Offices in UNIFIL countries. And the EUwho wanted to have a say in the Middle East - but "a say" is not "militaristic adventures".
Oh, oh, oh.

That clown running Lebanon is a day late and a dollar short.
Besides, the UN will do nothing to help. They never do. UNIFIL has probably already bailed out on them or are packing as we speak. If the Lebanese had two brain cells to rub together, they'd ally with Israel and the U.S.. But they'd rather fall to siege than stand, and we've known that for some time now.
Does anybody know how many carrier groups we have in the gulf now?
