That was his best selling album in 30 years! I bought a copy, I even play it from time to time on it's own merits. I believe its biggest failure was a lack of commitment to any single approach. I think it worked best when the heavy sound (e.g. Dweezil Zappa) was completely omitted. "Stairway" was nice, but "Love Hurts" works perfettly as a "lounge style" song.

When I think of Pat Boone, I think of him in "The Cross and the Switchblade " movie. He played the part of the pastor David Wilkerson. I read the book and saw the movie and reccomend it to everyone to read and see. It was based on real life in New York city back in the 50's.
