"i'm stressed trying to find ANYTHING "made in America" at my local Wal Mart now"
Then you are not even trying.
There is a slump. I think it started after the elections.
When I think of Pat Boone, I think of him in "The Cross and the Switchblade " movie. He played the part of the pastor David Wilkerson. I read the book and saw the movie and reccomend it to everyone to read and see. It was based on real life in New York city back in the 50's.

"and make good products available to the folks at bargain prices."....... I halfway agree.
Care to name a product made in America that is not affordable.
Not that long ago the environmental nazi's were trying to shut down a neighborhood bakery because the baking smells were floating out in the neighborhood. Imagine complaining about the smell of fresh bread and cookies.

To name two -- these companies both produce excellent quality products that are beyond the reach of many Americans.

There was so much unexpected internet action the day after Tgiving that some of the most popular websites were unable to handle the volume.
How convenient of the media to ignore that fact.
The last Ford I bought needed a complete engine rebuid after 700 miles... turned out they didn't tighten the harmonic damper and when it slipped, the entire crankshaft tried to leave the engine block. It took 6 weeks to get it repaired. I then tried a GM car next and it had constant electrical problems. After many times being stranded with no lights or dead batteries or burned up alternators, I then a Mazda and it was a great car that lasted many years until I simply outgrew it and needed a bigger vehicle (I wish I had kept it). I then went to a Lexus SUV and even after 7 years of daily driving, it is as good as the day I first drove it. American car manufacturers have no one to blame but themselves for building crappy, throw-away products.
...and speaking of green stamps, when I was a youngster growing up in the States,
S&H Green Stamps seemed very popular and ubiquitous?
Are they still around?
I don't know...all the stories about Walton just being a regular Joe...you don't get to where Sam did by being a mensch...
