Did you see the report of the bomb under the Bladensburg Road bridge over the Anacostia River in Oorang's post #1633? Has me on edge this evening. I remember our discussions about escape routes being shutdown/blocked just before the next large scale attack(s).

Heard unusual gunfire earlier this evening followed by many sirens. The gunfire was unusual because of it's prolonged duration, rate of fire (very heavy), and multiple directions. When the sirens started up my interest became concern so I went onto the back deck (facing east), and started looking for smoke. Seems to have been nothing because all is quiet now.

Happy New Year Everyone! Here we go into another TM year. At least we can say we were spared a major attack on US soil this past year. Like you always say AD, we should ALWAYS be prepared. Sounds like "Animal House" where you're staying (smiling). I know they're in good hands with you taking care of them :-)
