Well Bush sort of followed his suggestion. New Orleans is a basket case still. Mississippi on the other hand, is apparently doing fine.

Ivan, are you being deliberately obtuse? I don't care whether Bush followed his suggestion or not. The problem is that the man speaks about whatever is popular at the moment!

When everyone was clamoring for Katrina aid, he was all for it. 18 months later, he acts like he knew it would be a disaster and had nothing to say about it!

Come on! This is flip-flopping of the worst type, and he is doing it simply to make himself look superior to the President.

Please explain his parading around with Hillary talking national health care. Explain his sudden negativism about Iraq.

NOLA is a basket case because, from what I can see, they elected the same failures to keep ruining things (not that they had any great choices to choose from).. Nagin failed them and was re-elected, then there is their Congressman William Jefferson and their pathethic excuse for a Governor... Mississippi, on the other hand, had and has strong leadership in the form of Haley Barbour.
