There was a family from Medford that took a route last winter similar to the Kims but they were in a Motor Home and were stranded for well over a week. Two of them started to walk out when the motor home was found by searchers.

The couple is traveling with their daughters, 4-year-old Penelope and 7-month-old Sabine. Police said the Kims were driving a 2005 silver Saab station wagon with a personalized California license plate DOESF. It doesn't look good, but it's not hopeless yet. I can't stand the thought of those little girls in this terrible cold, and of course the parents too. Let's hope for a miraculous rescue.
