We drove the Bear Camp Road in summer once and vowed we would never drive it again. And we have a 4WD vehicle. It is one scarey road.

Hi! I haven't driven that specific road but it is typical of northwest Forest Service or similar roads that I would drive in the summer with a 4WD and plenty of emergency supplies -- preparing for an unanticipated overnight due to road conditions or mechanical problems. And would always leave a "flight plan" with family. Wouldn't dream of heading out this time of year. Many of those roads are impassable right now to untracked vehicles anyway.
