These roads being discussed have lite traffic in the good months and slim to none in the winter and cell phones are useless. There may be a mountain store and gas pump but they may close in the winter as the power goes out often.

Just a week or two before the 25th there was a 100mph wind storm in that section of Oregon that blew down thousands of trees and closed those same roads until they could be cleared.
