Totally unnecessary , any plane in the US or Europe can be brought down by simply putting a bomb aboard as freight, you can use a $10 barometer from the garden center as the trigger. The only difficult part would be getting an fraudulent credit card to bill it to, but seeing the millions of identity thefts yearly it mustn't be that hard to do...
