A Charlottesville city prosecutor is recommending that no charges be brought against any participants in the scuffle Oct. 31 between a U.Va. law student and backers of Sen. George Allen...

The scuffle occurred at an Allen campaign stop at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel.

University of Virginia law student Mike Stark filed an assault complaint after being thrown to the floor by Allen supporters after he tried to ask Allen whether he had ever spat at his first wife.

The guy should have been charged with something. Community service and a reprimand would have been appropriate IMO.

Let's see if that wackjob Stark will start asking Jim Webb about his descriptions of pedophilic behavior in his novels.

Oh wait, Webb's his boy, isn't he?

Now Stark can fantasize about being turned upside down.

In other words, this law student was being a disruptive, obnoxious ass, started a scuffle, and then filed a complaint.

Since they are saying that no one meant to hurt anyone, it sounds like the moron did more than try and ask a question.

They should toss his rear in jail for a couple weeks for starting trouble and then trying to have those who reacted arrested.

I hope they investigated if what he did amounts to filing a false police report.

This 'law student' will not be held responsible for his actions? Just think how horrific he will be when he graduates and passes the bar! Mercy help us!

Just because you graduate from law school doesn't mean they'll let you become a lawyer. I went to law school with Geraldine Ferraro's son, John Zacarro, who was denied the requisite letter of good moral character based upon his past actions dealing drugs pre-law school. The same could (and should) happen to Stark. No letter, you can't even sit for the bar exam.
