I would say that FReepers are not coming to the conclusion they have arrived at because they hate smoking, but rather because smoking is an action that in a public environment affects others and it can be viewed as an invasion of another person's life. This country was founded on the reasoning that you are born with personal freedom to do as you choose as long as your actions do not hinder another person's life, liberty or property. I personally don't give a crap if a smoker smokes 24/7/365 by himself or with others who smoke or who don't mind the smoke. I don't care if a businessman says that he is going to allow smoking. I will simply avoid that restaurant. But, children do NOT have a choice in that scenario.
