If the coins are big enough, I don't see a problem with words. But, yeah, with the size of these new coins, writing on them would just be a little silly.

Doesnt a penny weigh about 1 gram ( ~ 1/28th ounce) and 1 troy ounce = 31.1034768 grams and with Gold now about $640/oz that $10 coin will be pretty small
(considering gold is denser than copper/zinc)
That thing will be positively dinky (but then its a commemorative ....)
Oh, they forgot to mention that there will be a 3 dollar bill with Bill 'BJ' Clinton on it.
