The very first move was put to a vote. That failed miserably, as only a very few (under a dozen, as I recall, and maybe no more than four or five) even voted.
Since then I have assumed absolute dictatorial powers over The New Home Situation. There was at one point something of a pass made to move us elsewhere, but maybe tragically (as it means I retain Ping List Power) it failed.
But all that said, I try to be a beneficent dictator. All suggestions for new homes are considered. (In many lights -- the "Saddam is Dead 'Thread'" sounded good, but would you really want to see that for an entire month after? *I* wouldn't.)
The upshot is it's my decision. I'd happily pass it on to a dedicated UT FReeper volunteer, though I will retain rights to the UT FR Whisky Distillery and its product:
