"The great majority of Palestinian people," said the secretary of state, "they just want a better life. This is an educated population. I mean, they have a kind of culture of education and a culture of civil society. I just don't believe mothers want their children to grow up to be suicide bombers. I think the mothers want their children to grow up to go to university. And if you can create the right conditions, that's what people are going to do."

The liberals are right about one thing: This administration is completely and utterly incompetent.

Im a minister an I have worked with drug addicts, alcoholics and welfare type people for 25 years, almost everything the goverment does is a complete waste of time and money, chiefly because they do not know what is really happening in the slums, barrios and housing complexes.

They think they know, and they have a belief n people that is far from reality.

If you are, in fact, a teenaged Conservative, you're too young to have a good perspective on the alternative. Perhaps GWB has had more than his share of problems, but do some reading on what happened during the most recent two Democrat administrations, then consider the prospects of having another one. My prediction is that you will become a poster named the AdultConservative.

Exactly! The majority of Palestinians are not soft spoken moderates. They're extremist fanatics who make Saeb Erekat and Hanan Ashrawi look moderate. Unfortunately for Rice, Erekat, Ashrawi and Abbas are NOT the ones calling the shots in Gaza. The kids are and they have fun blowing themselves up along with the Jews. Peace and co-existence is not in the cards in much of the world in our lifetime and the lifetime of our descendants.

Even in revolutionary Paris, the ordinary person wanted peace, quiet, and stability. The problem was "the mob," which consisted of their neighbors and cousins, and sometimes the ordinary persons, too. When carried away by emotion and impulsive thinking, almost everyone will resort to violence, even if they know such violence will result in many evils, more to themselves and their enemies.

That's quite a word bomb you dropped. I would love to hear all your explanations of why you believe that. Could it come from your indepth studies or do you find it easier just to parrot what you read?

I'm thinking the same thing.

Except that here she is agreeing with Liberals such as Rosie O'Donut, who say pretty much the same thing.

If the Condi quote proves anything, it's that the current administration has fed itself to the crocodile of Political Correctness by trying to appease the Left.

Let me insert some words into Secretary Rice's speech [in brackets] that the State Department minions probably redacted in the interest of maintaining diplomatic sensibilities.

"The great majority of Palestinian people," said the secretary of state, "they just want a better life [in heaven after they die in jihad]. This is an educated population [educated in terrorist training camps]. I mean, they have a kind of culture of [terrorist indoctrination] education and a culture of civil society [in which citizens compete to kill Jews]. I just don't believe mothers want their children to grow up to be suicide bombers. [Mothers and fathers hope that the complete worldwide annihilation of the Jews occurs before their children get that opportunity.] I think the mothers want their children to grow up to go to university [to recite the Koran, get indoctrinated in Islamofascism, and learn to wage jihad against us, the infidels]. And if you can create the right conditions, that's what people are going to do."
