You're quite right. And Turkey/Algeria et al are not Mexico. The point is about foreigners--especially foreigners from disfunctional countries -- coming over the border.

And a country that requires an ID to vote, Mexico(BTW, miles ahead of some US states) is "dysfunctional".

It sounds like you are comfortable with federales rule. Most americans are not. Not in the USA. Good fenses make good neighbors.

The Mexican government does well in requiring ID before voting. They also do far better than our own government in enforcing immigration laws at their southern border than we do. These are two areas where we would do well by imitating our southern neighbors.
