Totally off topic...but the anchor name/stage name (Don Shelby) made me think of Ron Burgundy (Anchorman). Sorry...just a slight attempt at humor...
Actually a few years back when Letterman was doing shows based on each state you may/may not remember. Shelby had a little face time on tape (at the news desk) and proceeded to say (paraphrasing) "I have a gopher in my pants and his name is Carlos..." one of the funnier moments I have seen live on TV.
So your Burgundy comment isn't really that far off.
