I was raised High Church Anglican.
I took French because I thought it sounded nicer than Spanish. I was also learning culinary French from my mother.
I learned more about the English language studying French than I ever did in English class in school.
Praying in another language focuses the mind on the prayer and prevents it from becoming a rote ritual.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

PRAYER PING!!!
Well I am impressed. I will encourage Christopher to stay with the French. In junior high they take a semester of Spanish and another of French both years. Then in high school they pick the one they want to study for the four years.
