More than two years ago, I asked for your prayers for my son, who was undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor. His treatment at the time, though physically brutal, was successful. However, Austin's cancer has returned, and he will be going back into radiation and chemo soon - he had surgery last week.
This is so hard - he pretty much missed Middle School with this, and now here goes High School. Pray for him to enjoy college...
We will very much appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks you.
Pax Christi.
I will be glad to have you ride my coattails for the Cowboy game.
I am praying that the Cowboys win for Austin's sake...
I will bring you a long for the ride, pinz!!
Austin...I will be rooting hard for the Cowboys...but, I am rooting harder for YOU!

Of course - only I wish there were more of an update. He started chemotherapy the week after Thanksgiving. he gets it five days at a time, with a couple of weeks in between. After a few months of this, he will go into the second phase of chemo, which a great deal more difficult. When that time comes, I will definitely post some more details. For now, all we really know is that he has many months of chemotherapy, radiation and some other drugs still ahead.
Thank you again to all of you for the continued prayers.
Thanks, Sleuthy! :-)
Austin, I gave up on football when no one would or could explain to me why there are 2 half backs, 1 full back, but not 4 quarterbacks! I decided it made no sense! :-/
My mom is a die-hard Packers fan, but for years we lived 15 miles from where the Lions played.
I hope your chemo goes well, and will light a candle for you along with my prayers. :-)
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
Prayers up for Austin and his family.
Prayers continue for young Austin and for you and your family.

Our bodies are vessels to be brought to overflowing with love in worship. It's essential to nourish them properly, as our designer intended, and to cleanse them if defiled physically with pollutants.
Phathead, there has been some really important dietary information posted here. My father is attending to a healing and detoxifying diet as he battles cancer, and it is making a world of difference for him. Aloe juice has been particulary helpful to heal irritated tissues in the stomach and digestive system. God bless you and yours.
Just lit a candle for Austin, along with my prayers.
Austin, I started lighting candles when I moved 700 miles away from my boys and they would drive to visit me. It would remind me to keep surrounding them with prayer so no harm would come to them while they were driving.
And it would help me stay awake (for fear I would burn the house down! LOL).
It is a joy to light one for someone else's son, to surround you with prayer so that your treatments help your body push away the harmful stuff and keep the healthy stuff strong.
Hugs to you on this rainy Sunday morning in North Carolina. Go OSU.
Thank you for the ping, Nancee. :-)
The Spirit of God rests upon you and your family. Be comforted in the knowledge that you are each in His hands.
