It is with many mixed emotions I view the photos of our president, first lady, secretary of state, and other US officials, in Hanoi.

T'was in April 2003,
...shortly after my Vietnam War U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment led Freedom's arrival to Iraq,
...that over 1,000 Little Saigon Vietnamese Americans demonstrating in support of our Troops and their FREEDOM Mission were read a Letter outloud signed by President BUSH.
A Letter promising:
FREEDOM's Return to:
Communist Vietnam
Communist North Korea and
Communist Cuba
..as well as...
FREEDOM's Arrival to:
All the Countries of the Middle East
...as America's own best self-protection against future terrorist attacks here at home.
Have no fear, for...
FREEDOM is indeed coming to Vietnam.
