My dear lady {this is sort of fun!}, your right to smoke is absolutely yours. My right to breathe is mine.

Surely you do not think you have the right to share your decision to smoke with me?

The person intolerant of others is the smoker who wants to make another breathe his smoke. Why should anyone tolerate that.

You ignore the points I have made at your own peril.

Dislike smoking all you wish, but remember one thing, this will not stop with smoking.

Poor old Gabz; makes herself such an inviting target.

How far does your nose extend?

Please, look at it from my side.

Stay off my property, out of my house, out of my business. Then you need never breathe my smoke.

BTW, keep you car out of my town, out of my state, out of my country - then I need never breathe yours.

Long-standing challenge - I will go in the garage, and chain-smoke.

You go in the garage, and let your car idle.

Last one breathing, wins.

That is unassailably logical, a home-run, and it's why indoor smoking in public buildings is OVER. I'm a smoker but I knew when the anti-smokers began to make progress, they were right. Never mind if the second hand smoke studies are bogus (if they are), it's still nauseating to a lot of people.

I stopped smoking for ten months and by that time could smell someone lighting a match three floors down in my house. I was sickened. Thankfully I smoke again and don't have to be pissed all the time. LOL. It's good protection.

And of course if it is in the condo agreement when you BUY...well, I haven't read all this thread, it's too obvious. We're free to form our associations. One set up to shut out noxious fumes seems pretty damned obvious.
