Dinssa, who is from Dallas, arrived in Detroit from Nigeria by way of Amsterdam and was headed for Phoenix, Feller said.

Interesting.

$79,000 you don't have to be "employed".

More likely he had a JOB in the underground economy.

Are mobsters unemployed too?

"He is charged with concealing more than $10,000 in his luggage, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison,"

This should bother people that THIS is criminal. Hello RICO.

He is charged with concealing more than $10,000 in his luggage, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison

Okay so we have a suspicious scumbag terrorist, I get that. But, why is it a crime to conceal more than 10 large in your luggage? Stupid maybe, but why illegal. I know you used to have to declare anything over 10K when traveling abroad (may be less now, don't know), but within the US?

So, if I clear out my savings account because I'm moving across the the country, or something, and it's over 10K in cash, I'm breaking the law? WTF is with that?

I mean, I'm glad they got the guy and everything and are investigating, but it bothers me that having large amounts of cash on you is a crime.
