That was Latin? Neat!

Seriously, one of the things I found most attractive about my husband was that he never uttered the phrase, "You're just tryin' to make me feel dumb by using big words."

I don't know if it's a generalized reality or if it's just me, but IMHO women like men who are more intelligent and successful than they are.

Well, it's legal Latin, which may not be much like real Latin - simpliciter is a short-hand way of saying "in and of itself" or "without more" and ceterus paribus is a short-hand way of saying "all other things being equal" - I wrote this at work and just dropped into jargon without thinking about it.
