The messages that Friday will focus on AIDS and HIV, a key area of ministry for Saddleback Church. While many conservative Christians have shied away from AIDS because of their discomfort with its connections to premarital sex and homosexuality, Warren and his wife, church co-founder Kay Warren, have been vocal advocates for patients living with the disease.
So Warren and his wife are doing something, possibly even taking the Gospel to where others don't, or won't, go and Obama is going to show up, probably say a few words like most politicians. I'm just wondering if the issue is more to some that Warren is doing this at all rather than Obama showing up to it.

While I do care what he did in other situations, I can't really see how any sane person could condemn one man from coming to speak at a church on AIDS and HIV. Now granted like any other politician he'll probably say something about wasting government money but heck they all do that don't they?
