So you think this guy was doing the LORD's work on his mission to Damascus? I am sorry there is a bit of irony in his trip to Syria, Biblically speaking, when historically it was to another Assyrian king that the 'ten tribes', Christ called them the 'lost sheep' of the House of Israel, were sent into captivity to the land of Assyria.

Alllll those years later they were still lost cause they did not know who they were even though Christ knew who they were and sent His disciples to them first. Matthew 10:6 Mattered to Christ enough to give the instruction.

Oh and Biblically speaking the majority of those of the 'ten tribes' are still lost as to who they are. Any pastor of Christ ought to know this.

That is 90% of his income that is reported. I would be curious if he also protects other income in the form of trusts, foundations, etc. that he controls.

As for his giving, more power to him, that is a good gesture but it won't get him into Heaven if he is teaching false doctrine. There is a higher standard that shepherds must live up to, and those that lead the flock astray will be punished more harshly.
