Newt is a bright guy, but he left congress at the wrong time and under the wrong conditions. If that is your idea of leadership (when the going gets tough...) then you feel free to support Newt, but understand that a lot of folks (such as myself) think he would do well to be an adviser, not a candidate for the nomination for President. It is time for our party leadership to step up and admit that their programs have strayed from conservative values, and that they have lost touch with the American public through their own volition, and now we all have to pay for their stupidity, and total lack of action on the problems we all face in this country. In my book,the chapter on Newt and the likes of him has closed, and it's time to move on to newer and fresher faces and ideas.
