I found nothing. I was going to come back here to ask for help. Unfortunately, when you search for "chevron" in California, you get nothin' but the oil company of that name. Searching for "chevron" and "geology," gets me the same. I tried to break it down in all sorts of ways, but never got past the oil company.
(shouting...)HEY, ANY GEOLOGIST OUT THERE KNOW WHERE IN CALIFORNIA WE CAN FIND THE CHEVRON NOTED ON THE MAP???

Guadelupe Dunes around 34'59 - 120'36 and also up north near Ft. Bragg -- 39'30 - 123'46.
No where near the size of the Madagascar markings, but both run from NW to SE. To me they are evidence of a Tsunami possibly created from the subduction zone off of Washington or maybe an alaskan earthquake.
