This has nothing to do with his voting record.
Most of the people here have a problem with his surname.

Most of the people here have a problem with his surname. No. Most people here have a problem with his lack of charisma and pro-amnesty stance. Geez, reverse racism.

That's pure, unadultered, BS.
To: COEXERJ145
Absolute bullcrap. Are you calling people that oppose this racist? You have to be kidding.
To: COEXERJ145
No those in the know are afraid of the damage his insane illegal alien amnesty bill would do to this country's economy and security for this and the next generation. Unfortunately Mel puts too much stock in his surname instead of the integrity of the USA.

Nice casual toss of "The Race Card".
To: COEXERJ145
That is a scurrilous lie.

I'm from NH. I'm more riled up about this election than most. This guy is 2x the conservative than my 2 congressmen who got booted were. Bass and Bradley were 2 good congressmen. I think the republicans need to show that conservatives are just white guys. Steele would've been a good choice but more Hispanics vote republican. This has nothing to do with immigration. You wanted a conservative guy you got one. Hey they didn't give Chafee or McCain the job did they?

I guess that's why many here would like to see Steele take the position. We're all racists. /S

Bullsh*t. I have no problem with his surname. Hell, I voted for him.

Most of the people here have a problem with his surname. Nice.
Good to see the name callers are getting a early start on 2008.
Nothing persuades someone to support your positions like calling them racists.

Most of the people here have a problem with his surname. And the race baiting begins! Strange, isn't it, C0XERJ145,that we border enforcement posters have no problem with the name Robert Vasquez, Campos and Ramos and the many other hispanic named candidates that YOU hated so much but happened to disagree with because they didn't have the "let 'em all in" attitude.

Oh Yeah? How do you know that? My last name ends in a vowel. My problem with him is he is weak, ineffectual, boring and wrong on many issues. Don't start playing the race card here.
To: COEXERJ145
You are saying most of us are racists, well, that is totally racist on your part to say something that ridiculous.

The race card gets old. Try pulling a different one out of the deck.

Look, if you want to call people racists, come out and do it and don't hide behind a trick.
Now see, I'm personally against race-baiters, nothing hidden there. And I'm against amnesty. And no, I'm not racist either.

RNC Hack and Race baiting, imagine that! Blackbird.
